The 20th November is university action day and strike! The student clubs Rosenkeller, Café Wagner and Emils Ecke in Jena would like to show solidarity with the demands of the employees of Friedrich Schiller University, Ernst Abbe University and the Studierendenwerk and are taking part in the strike. It’s time to take to the streets for better study and working conditions!
Come join us on November 20th at 10 a.m. at Johannisplatz in Jena!
We advocate for fair wages in teaching and research positions – good science is valuable!
We demand a fundamental reform of the Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (WissZeitVG) and a nationwide tariff contract for student employees (TVStud)!
We also call for a structural reform of the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG)!
On top of that, we advocate for a 10,5% wage increase with a minimum raise of 500€ as a result of tariff negotiations!
